2012 PARTICIPANTS

siyss2013

We participated in “The 37th Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar (SIYSS)” from December 4th to December 11th on 2012 as representatives of Japan. The aim for this program is to develop a good relationship with prominent young scientists by interacting each other during the Nobel Week in Stockholm. We attended the Nobel Prize Award Ceremonies and the Nobel Banquet, which we can rarely experience, and spent meaningful time by discussing various topics with them within a week.

It is a great honor to be in The Nobel Prize Ceremonies as representatives of Japanese young scientists when Professor Shinya Yamanaka won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. We will never forget hints to find the "discovery", which Nobel laureates gives us. These hints and friendships with talented SIYSS members will be irreplaceable things in the future.

Finally, we are most grateful to The Japan Prize Foundation for supporting us to participate in SIYSS in every way. We would like to contribute to the progression of Japan’s science and technology with invaluable experiences derived from this seminar.
